After working with the band Sing Me Insomnia, there was an overwhelming response to our photos within this age group of young adults. Ms. Leia being one of them asked if we would shoot her Senior Pictures. We gladly accepted and spent a full afternoon with her. She was so much fun, so down to earth, so willing to try whatever we asked of her, and as you can see a very beautiful young girl. We laughed, joked, talked, and just enjoyed the day together as we captured her best qualities!leia collage
A huge thank you goes out to Leia for making the day of work fun for us! You rock Leia.

Tia & Dusty Wedding

After working with Tiffany Goodwin on her Engagement Shoot, we were very pleasantly surprised when we got a phone call in reference to working with her older sister Tia! Only this time Wedding Style.

Their wedding took place in an old Victorian style home, they were both dressed so elegantly. Tia and Dusty told us to use our creativity to the max, and put total trust in us. We did just that.

They asked us for everything we had…and we gave them just that! Modern, Edgy, Very Sexy..and they pulled it off so very well :)

The Goodwin’s were simply amazing. They invited us in as part of their family and praise us over and over on our work which as most of you know is also our passion. Most of you also know presenting the photos in person is one of my favorite parts of our job. Doing this in person lets us see facial expressions, vocal expressions and just feel the overall joy as they see their photos for the very first time. We did just this with Tia, Dusty and their family. In fact they invited us to a big family dinner and we all sat together afterwards watching the dvd and looking at their new book and photos! Was such a fun time and I look forward to continuing this special bond with the Goodwin’s :)

“PLANT kindess and gather LOVE”

“Plant kindness and gather love” When I came across this quote…I found it fit to perfection in describing my feelings right about now!
Let me recreate my morning:
Me – Working on PaperWork in our office
The Door – Knock Knock
(no this is not a knock knock joke)
The Door – Opens
(there looking me back in the face is a smiling woman with a big oh so very cheerful potted plant with a puffy ribbon tied upon it!)
Me – For me I ask?
The Woman at the Door – Are you Erin Snapp?
Me – Why yes, I am..but not sure why I would get flowers?
The Door – Shuts
Me – tear open the tiny envelope and read the card with the biggest SMILE ever on my face!
The Card – Love, P.B.C (other wise known as Virgil Cain)
Not just a CLIENT – BUT an AMAZING FRIEND!
Blog Collageresize

I decided right away to blog about this act of kindness…but honestly I don’t even think words can start to explain how kind this friend of ours is! It all started in 2005 with the gift of a simple “Twizzler” and a Special Song.
(this little Twizzler still hangs on my bulletin board and I look at it ever day)
This Twizzler gift and soul touching music turned into what is now becoming a lifelong friendship.

Twizzler w/ other PBC gifts!

Twizzler w/ other PBC gifts!

We have since gone to many shows of Virgil’s, had drinks, had loooong talks, exchanged gifts everything of cross stitched personalized goodies, to our photos for him, him thanking us above and beyond with tokens of his appreciation that always shock us…to lots and lots of Caffeine for the Snapps.
Now this…to be greeted at my front door from a far away friend in NY

So you see this quote “PLANT kindness and gather LOVE” means exactly what it says.
Planting a little kindness can arrive in the form of a plant, in the form of a hug, of a cup of coffee, of photos that come from the heart, or a simple text message on the way home from a gig.
Our friendship with Virgil has done all of the above and will continue to do so “Under The Bifocals”
Thank you for the “plant” that I now cheerfully greets the Snapp’s each morning, to the many many many things you have done for us just because you are one of the most special friends we’ve ever had.

We love you P.B.C
Love P.B.Snapppity Snapp Snapp :)

So it was that time again! Our favorite person in the world e-mailed us for another shoot. He told me it had been over 2 years since our last shoot! Wow…time surely does fly. It felt like yesterday to me.

Virgil Cain

Virgil Cain based out of the NY area, also tours here in the VA/DC/MD area. He is so talented, so unique…a one person band playing every instrument you could possibly think of. Can cover just about any song you ask of him and on top of that he writes his own music which is soooo good and was actually a little life changing for me.

Virgil Cain

Virgil Cain

He is amazing to work with. He admires our work so very much, trusts our judgment on how things should look and one of his favorite things to do is just sit back and watch the Snapp’s work together. He calls us the Happiest Couple In the World. Which is very sweet of him. We think we are…but there are other couples out there just as happy as the Snapp-Duo.

Virgil is not only an amazing artist, but he is and always will be one of our greatest friends in the world! We have a saying we like to sway between one another “Under The Bifocals”……indeed…..we……will…..be!

Nicole & John Wedding

What can I say about Nicole and John….such a special couple, who we totally connected with. Nicole’s funny ways, always cracking a joke and John’s calm easy going ways…making sure everyone was ok. On top of these amazing personality traits is an amazing faith. Truly inspiring to be around two loving Christians who share the same faith as we do.

We were also so excited that they decided to do their formal shots before the ceremony.
This makes it so nice for many. For the couple, because they are relaxed, verses trying to fit the formals in before the reception. The guests are not left waiting for the couple to arrive and of course we are much more relaxed having a longer time frame with the couple.

Nicole arrived to my surprise with one of my favorite type of gowns ever!
Beaded and Lace gown, tiny cap sleeves, with a chapel train…all of which left her with the most elegant silhouette.
Adorned with a lace veil, she truly was one of the most elegant brides I’ve ever seen.
John arrived looking so very handsome in his gray suit.
Both were so timeless…so classic, so priceless.
Their Reception took place at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club.
This is also where their formal shots took place before the wedding at their church.
The club was so beautiful, perfect skies, perfect greens, everything of which John and Nicole had hoped for.
Johnnicolecollage3
Also as many of you know, we always ask friends and family to bring us a rock/shell and sharpie it from their adventures…including honeymoons.
Well we found something even cooler right after the Formals at John and Nicoles…you can see her signing our Golf Ball found at the Club :) Very cool moment.

We wish both of them all the love and happiness
May God bless them both always.
We thank you for treating us as not only your photographer, but as your friends.

September 16, 2009 – Married for 14 very Happy Years

Today made me really think about life. So many times we are asked who would be your dream to shoot? So many times people work their entire life trying to get the dream job, the dream house, the dream cars, and the list goes on.

The thing is, in the end all we truly want is LOVE. There really is no better gift, no better dream than to be spending your life with your best friend, the one you love with alllll your heart.

As many of you know Corey and I have been through happy times and tested times during these past couple years after his accident….many times people will ask me, how did you two get through it? Simple – Love

So I leave you by saying….make sure you pause for a moment and find your true love in life.

What a fun wedding!
Pam and Justin were so down to earth, and so grateful for us being there.
pamcollage2

Sporting just a touch of camo as their chosen color, the wedding could not have been more perfect for them.

Justin loves hunting and Pam loves Justin…so it worked :) pamcollage

Their friends and family were also very cool to us!

At one point even making sure we even included in the fun pics and a dance!

Working with them was also really great! As you can see from the photo below, Justin was willing to take any chance it took to get the shot we had in our minds…of course this also meant me being ready to catch him as Corey took the shot! haha Good time!

Really great peoplepamcollage3
Thank you all for making us feel like part of the celebration…very special.
