We were asked to take part in an 80′s event hosted by
Last Call Entertainment
This was our first time setting up the re-designed version of the Snapp-Shot Photo Booth, and it went up such ease and was a hit with the crowd!
The night was full of 80′s fun! Everything from 80′s cover music by the band The Reflex, scrunchies, big hair, leg warmers, chucks, rubber bracelets, and soooo much more! Who could not love the 80′s?!?!
A huge thank you goes to Amber Therese Foster, and Brian Anderson

We of course also could not go to an event without snapping a few crowd shots of just good old fashion fun!

We enjoyed a really fun night at Jammin Java in VA 3-11-09. Thanks to Luke and the others for always making us feel welcome and comfortable every time we go to this GREAT venue.
DC101 Local Lix hosted this great show…with Radio Host Whitney
Met up with Amber, Tommy, and Whitney…also had the pleasure of seeing other friends like Val, Elmo, Don, Anthony, Buddy, and more! Throughout the night enjoyed two amazing bands who packed the house! Ballyhoo and Rude Buddha..please check them out. Ballyhoo annouced they were recently signed..which is HUGE…congrats to them.
I can’t say enough about everyone who shared the night with us last night…was relaxing, fun, and full of energy all at the same time

This was our first year we participated in any type of Mardi Gras Festival. Fat Tuesday’s in Fairfax Va asked us to photograph their private Pre-Mardi Gras Party (The Bourbon Ball) as well as their big Mardi Gras Festival!

Both events were really fun, the party full of Fat Tuesday’s Regulars who were by invite only and the Mardi Gras Festival full of Everyone..and literally it was everyone! The place was at capacity with a line waiting outside at all times throughout the night.
The night was full of GREAT music : Numa, Almost Kings, Murpheys Kids, 2020 Vizion, Poor Man’s Lobster and many more!
I’m not going to write much in this blog, I feel the photos will tell the story…was a GREAT time for sure!

Rock 4 Kids 2008

Rock 4 kids is held every year by our friend Wes Lee Neidig of Locals Only Radio.
This show is one of the biggest shows of the year, raising money for The Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.
This year we were finally able to get involved…as the past years we have been working through struggles of our own with Corey’s injury.
Our involvement started with presenting the teen band Danger with their very first press shoot!
You can read more about the shoot at our blog
We also took part in the hospital tour.
There were a handful of us who decided to take part in the Hospital Tour this year. All for different reasons…but yet in the end we were connected there as one to share a memory we will never forget.
Even though the tour had it’s sad moments, you can see from the photos we also tried to make sure we found reasons to smile…which also gave others reasons to smile back at our silliness. Sometimes smiles are worth so much more than any amount of money. Throughout our relationships with friends and connections in the music scene we always find ways to connect as one. The music is the base of our connections, but the love friendships and family are what hold us together as one…giving much strength to not only take care of one another, but also much strength to take care of others outside our amazing connection.
On this tour we were able to get a feeling of what the poor children and their families go through…the struggles, the heartache and also the smiles on their faces by the many toys provided by benefits like Rock4Kids.
Please watch the VIDEO to get a feel for this:
Then of course the big rock show!
So much work goes into this show from Wes, The State Theatre, The Bands, The Photographers, and many more.
Behind the scenes work that many times go without seeing. Packaging cds one by one, donations from all around, booking bands, making flyers, taking photos, etc. etc.
Of course our shows are not just work, we love the people we are involved with so much…some are like family to us. Throughout the work we put into these shows of love we always always always make sure to take a moment and smile for the camera. It’s so much fun laughing and playing with these people who we like to call our chosen family
Before the show we were able to present the Danger Press Photos to the parents of the band Danger.
The boys would not see the photos until they took their place on the stage.
Here you can see the why we love our job so much! James’s dad’s reaction was priceless…a moment Corey and I will cherish always. Brought tears to his eyes and ours!
Before the show we were able to present the Danger Press Photos to the parents of the band Danger.
Of course Rock4Kids would not be complete without hanging with the kids!
I ventured upstairs a bit to hang with the crazy kids. Once again I had a blast with them.
While others were enjoying the rockers downstairs, I was upstairs hanging with my future rock stars!
Thanks for being such cool kids guys! Will never forget you and looking forward to seeing your future grow.
My venture with the kids was complete when I hit the stage to present their first look at their new Rock Star Shot!
[
Of course the biggest part of Rock4Kids are the bands who rock out for all to enjoy!
“Special thanks have to go out to bob…Diemanic…Almost Kings from Atlanta and the kids of Danger for putting on one of the best shows Locals Only has ever been apart of.”
A NIGHT WE WILL NEVER FORGET

Many of you who have attended any of the recent Camel events / Media Star Promotions may have experienced the brand new
Snapp-Shot Photography Photo Booth
A little over 4 months ago, we were contacted by Camel Events to take part in the closing of one of our favorite venues TT Reynold’s in FairFax VA. We grately accepted, and since have been blessed to continue our work with them.

Some of the photo booth themes we have done are: Irish, Rock Star, Halloween Green Screen, Smokey Sexy Rock Star, and more.
In addition to the photo booth we have also done a Red Carpet Event, and several Roaming throughout.
Not only have we worked in the DC/surrounding area, we have also had the priveldge of working with the Richmond Branch of Camel/Media Star Promotions.

We really enjoy this new turn in our carreer…and hope it continues
If you are reading this looking for a new twist of fun at your next event, please contact us! All we need is a 10×10 area and electric…then leave the rest up to us and your guests will be talking for weeks to come about your event and how much fun they had in the Snapp-Shot Photography Photo Booth.
Don’t have room for the booth?
That’s ok, we also provide take home prints for you guests as memories of your event.
We will roam the event taking posed and candid shots for them to pick up their prints as they leave the event!

Don’t forget, venture to other places with our GREEN SCREEN!

A little behind in the blog updating.
A couple weekends ago we attending two kick-ass shows with two killer bands!
bob and theUnderwater both cd release shows!
These guys welcomed us like we were part of the family.
We all hung out a bit before the show in the green room like always and then they brought the house down with an over the top show!
Thank you to the entire bob band and crew for making us feel so welcomed
Also can not thank you enough for our lifesize poster of our photo of a previous bob crowd!!
Of course what would a bob show be without all of our friends who we truly love like family!
Times like these will be times we never forget!
So many more we didn’t have room to post here, but here are just a very few of our amazing friends who we love dearly!

The show was over the top!
The guys brought the house down!
bob shows are always soooo full of energy, it’s crazy!
From the moment the guys step on the stage, to the moment they leave you can almost see the energy within each person throughout the crowd.

They have amazing fans who love them to death!
It’s an amazing experience to be a part of.

the Underwater
Next stop on our weekend venture is
With The Underwater in Harrisburg PA at Dragonfly!
Also their big cd release show!
What can I say about these guys…we feel like we were there at the start with them.
After 3 Promo shoots, many shows, hanging out with them, etc. we’ve gotten to know them really well and couldn’t be more proud of them!
They have recently been signed with the label Megaforce!
Soundcheck was first…and Dan and Matt sounded amazing!
Was very lucky to hear an acoustic song I had never heard before!
Wow…was breathtaking!
After soundcheck, we had a really nice down time with Dan and his cousin.
Harrisburg is beautiful, we all sat riverside to enjoy the day and catch up a bit.

Dan highly
recommended the pizza in the area, all took him up on it but me. Corey and Dan both had what they called German Pizza!
When the guys hit the stage later that night, Corey and I were both brought to tears from the emotional journey we feel we have had with these guys!
They are truly brilliant in every way.
In fact that word very much resembles the nick-name I have for Dan.
We could not have asked for a better day, night, show with these guys…it will be a memory we cherish always!
